The editorial tells us about different numbers to explain how teen pregnancy rates has gone down in the U.S. That today not as many girls between 15 and 19 get kids as they did in the 1990s. How it is a "problem" having a child early, since many mothers don't finish high school or know what to do. That kids with young mothers without graduating from high school is more likely to get jailed or have a teen pregnancy themself. But it is also important to say that the editorial make sure to say that not every teen pregnancy is like this. Personally I feel that you shouldn't have a kid without any graduations. You don't have anything to work with when your child is in kindergarten or at school. But there is also good mothers, mothers that has finished high school and know what she wants. She gives her baby whatever it needs and she can continue her education when the baby grows up. If you can't give your baby what it needs, don't get pregnant. It will feels like a burden on your shoulders, following you trough your entire life. And if you get pregnant and can't go trough with an abortion, consider adoption. It is a good alternative.
